Maintaining your property

Who is responsible for the maintenance of my new home?

If my new shared ownership home is part rented, does that mean I am only part responsible for upkeep and maintenance?

One of the benefits of buying a brand new Shanly Partnership Home is that for the first 10 years the property will be under warranty which will deal with any structural issues and defects at your new home. Electrical and plumbing defects are covered for the first two years. Full details of what is excluded from your warranty can be found in your Handover Pack, but in terms of these exclusions and general maintenance of the property, such as lawn care, decoration, etc. you will be solely responsible for this.

If you are buying a Shanly Partnership Home that is out of its 10 year warranty then you will be solely responsible for any upkeep to the property.
