Homeless charities receive donation from Shanly Partnership Homes

We are delighted to announce that Shanly Partnership Homes have donated £5,000 each to The Brett Foundation, North London Action for the Homeless and Youth Concern.

The Brett Foundation support the homeless and families that are living in poverty and those who have fallen on hard times. Working with their sister charity, Foodshare, they provide food for those who cannot afford to eat every day. They also provide temporary shelter for homeless and provide homeless packs which contain items to make living on the streets more bearable. Our donation will contribute towards the running costs of the work they do.

North London Action for the Homeless provide a drop-in centre in Stoke Newington, Hackney for the homeless and those in needy circumstances. Twice weekly they provide a three course meal for up to 120 people. The drop-in service is about providing a healthy meal to those in need in a safe, community space. They also run a garden project in which they grow vegetables for the drop-in in conjunction with their service users. Our donation will contribute towards the running costs of their drop-in service.

Youth Concern offers help and support to vulnerable young people aged 13-25 years, many of whom have complex needs. Their drop-in centre in Whitehill Lane, Aylesbury offers young people a safe place to meet and access guidance, support and counselling. Our donation will contribute towards 'The Next Step' project. Through this project Youth Concern will be able to provide a safe home for up to 20 young people a year who are experiencing homelessness and offer support around health, skills, employment and resettlement.
